Gesänge und Rufe zu einigen Arten. | The Land Birds of Southeast Brazil by Heinz Remold is a three CD set of all the birds found in the southeastern coastal region of Brazil extending from the Sao Paulo State border in the south to Rio de Janiero in the north to include all species found in the Atlantic coastal forest, the Serra Paranapiacaba, the Serra do Mar, the Serra Mantiquera, adjacent intermontane valleys, and the sourthern portion Paranense plateau. This area has an exceptionally high degree of endemism and includes some of the world's rarest birds such as the recently rediscovered Kinglet Calyptura. In that each species is covered with Heinz' excellent paintings plus some additional photographs and videos, up to six vocalizations and a detailed description, The Land Birds of Southeast Brazil can be truly considered to be the world's first electronic Field Guide, easily transportable into the field in conjunction with a portable PC and containing vastly more information than could ever be included in a book. In addition to the species covered, accounts of 36 individual locations where species can be observed are given and a checklist is provided for each. Distribution maps for each species are based on these checklists. The first disc of the set, covering the sub-oscine passerines (Ovenbirds, Woodcreepers, Antbirds, Cotingas, Mannakins, Tapaculos, Flycatchers etc.) is now available.
